from Rachel: A Meditation on Psalm 77

I will remember my song in the night;
I will meditate with my heart,
And my spirit ponders:

I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
I will certainly remember Your wonders of old.
I will meditate on all Your work,
And on Your deeds with thanksgiving.

Psalm 77:6,11,12, New American Standard Bible (NASB)

(v.6 “I will remember my song in the night”) What song will you remember tonight?

“♪ ‘You are good, all the time; all the time, You are good'” ♫

(v6 “I will meditate with my heart”) What will you dwell on and ponder today?

“♪ ‘He loves me, oh how He loves me’ ♫ (‘He is jealous for me; Loves like a hurricane…’)”

(v11 “I will remember the deeds of the Lord”) What deeds of God will you remember today?

“He helps me know what to do and when and how to do it.”

(v11 “I will certainly remember Your wonders of old”) What wonder of God will you intentionally remember today?

“I find myself thinking of the Crucifixion, the hand-thick curtain being torn asunder, and the very rocks crying out Jesus’ praise and rumbling His glory.”

(v12 “I will meditate on all Your work, and on Your deeds…”) Which of God’s works or deeds will You muse on today?

“The same as two above (third answer – how He helps me know what/when/how to do something”

I am Rachel's husband. Was. I'm still trying to deal with it. I probably always will be.
