from Rachel: The Colt

“In honor of Palm Sunday, here is a drama that was performed as First Baptist Church of Macomb in 1993, with my mother Jo in the part of Hilda.”

I found this script among a number of papers on your side of the bedroom, sweetheart. I expect the reason you kept this was because of your mother’s playing one of the main roles. It is interesting, given your concerns for both your parents’ salvation, that she should play a fairly skeptical, if ultimately supportive, wife. Here’s to hoping the two of you are up there enjoying yourselves together, and maybe even having a laugh at this sketch and how it went in performance.

May each of us, in His time, experience that power, that joy, and that love.

I am Rachel's husband. Was. I'm still trying to deal with it. I probably always will be.
